200,000 tonnes of potato peelings can be transformed into up to 40 gigawatt hour electricity per year, enough for 10,000 households.

Groeikracht units offer electrical power, heat and gaseous high-quality CO2 to greenhouses. Groeikracht Wommelgem II is an extension of a current project and will generate 1.5 MW electrical capacity and 1.5 MW thermal capacity. The unit will be operational in the fourth quarter of 2009.
